Jakarta, 28 January 2026 — TruCarbon and the Indonesian Public Listed Companies Association (AEI) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in strengthening their readiness to prepare Sustainability Reports through the use of a digital carbon accounting tool. The collaboration leverages TruCount, a digital carbon accounting platform developed by TruCarbon.
The MoU was signed by Gilman Pradana Nugraha, Executive Director of AEI; Armand Wahyudi Hartono, Chairman of AEI; and Debby Renata, CEO of TruCarbon. Through this collaboration, TruCarbon will provide a TruCount Free Trial for AEI members. TruCount is designed to support companies in structured, credible emissions data collection and greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations, aligned with international standards.
TruCount is Indonesia’s first digital carbon accounting platform to become an Official Tools Partner of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. It is aligned with GRI 305, ISO 14064, and the GHG Protocol, enabling companies to produce verifiable and credible emissions calculations. Using TruCount, companies can calculate Scope 1, Scope 2, and 15 categories of Scope 3 emissions. Beyond emissions calculation, TruCount offers features such as scenario modelling, target alignment, mitigation tracking, and GHG Inventory Report preparation, all of which are designed to streamline the development of Sustainability Reports.
The TruCount Free Trial runs from 20 January to 30 June 2026 and has been aligned with the Sustainability Report submission deadline in April. Sustainability Reporting is currently mandatory for all IDX-listed companies and must be submitted to the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia.
This collaboration extends beyond the TruCount Free Trial. AEI and TruCarbon will also conduct a series of educational initiatives, including webinars, podcasts, and sharing sessions focused on corporate sustainability and carbon management. These activities are expected to enhance practical understanding of sustainability among listed companies beyond a compliance perspective, but are part of a long-term business strategy.
The collaboration aligns with TruCarbon’s vision to accelerate corporate decarbonization. Through this program, TruCarbon aims to educate and facilitate companies in navigating mandatory sustainability reporting requirements while building a clear understanding of their carbon emissions as the foundation for effective and measurable decarbonization strategies.
Debby Renata, CEO of TruCarbon, stated, “We hope this collaboration with AEI will encourage companies to move beyond regulatory compliance and towards meaningful initiatives and commitments to strengthen data-driven corporate decarbonization strategies.”
Meanwhile, Gilman Pradana Nugraha, Executive Director of AEI, emphasized the importance of practical support for listed companies in meeting sustainability reporting obligations.
“IDX-listed companies are required to submit their Sustainability Reports by April. However, we recognize that sustainability is still often overlooked, and many companies are not yet familiar with the complexity of the process. Through this collaboration, AEI aims to facilitate its members by providing access to relevant tools and support.”
Through this partnership, AEI and TruCarbon hope to strengthen Indonesia’s sustainability reporting ecosystem while helping listed companies build a stronger foundation for the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
